Cabbage poriyal -Cricket World cup 2011 special

Congratulations India !!
Wonderful team work ! What a spectacular event to see the Indians Win the world cup cricket 2011. This World Cup brought triumph to India, making all Indians pround all around the world. It showcased India's finest talent in sports. Cricket Cup 2011 was hosted by three countries India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Opening ceremony was held in Bangladesh and Final match and Prize ceremony was held in India. The song De Ghuma ke was Superb !!
Celebrating India's victory with the food.  Here is my ode, applause to India and its Team.




Ingredients:
Cabbage - 1 cup Finely chopped
Carrots - 1/2 cup finely chopped
Onions - 1 finely chopped
Green peas - 1/2 cup
Red bell pepper -1 finely chopped
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Jeera/ cumin - 1/4 tsp
green chillies - 4 finely chopped  adjust
Fresh coconut - 4 tbsp finely grated
Salt
Oil - 2 tbsp


Method:
Pour oil in a pan , add mustard, cumin and wait till it splutters. Add green chillies, curry leaves  and onions and fry till onions turn slightly brown.   Add the finely chopped vegetables one by one and fry till it  is cooked, add salt and coconut and mix well.  Serve with rice or roti.
