Haka Chinese Chilli chicken

Whenever I go to Federick haka chinese restuarant, this is my favourite item to order.  It is a small  restuarant in Toronto, the interior decor is  not upto the mark, but the food is excellent. Hakka, is a fusion food; chinese food with the Indian flavours. 



Hakka chinese chilli chicken
Ingredients:
Chicken - 1 lb boneless
Corn flour - 2 tbsp
All purpose flour - 1 tbsp
Soy sauce - 2 tbsp
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Green chillies - 7-8 chopped ,adjust according to taste
Onions - 1 big sliced
Garlic - minced 1 tbsp
Egg - 1
salt
Pepper
Oil

Method:
1. Take the chicken in a bowl and add 1 tbsp corn flour( save the rest for the sauce), add all purpose flour, salt, pepper and mix it well. Add soy sauce, vinegar, egg mix thoroughly and keep it aside for half an hour.

2. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the marinated chicken pieces and keep it aside.


3. In a wok, put 2 tbsp of oil and add minced garlic, green chillies, onions and fry. add the chicken pieces and keep frying.


4. For the sauce, In a small bowl take 4 tbsp water, soysauce, cornstarch stir it well. add it to the frying chicken pieces. keep stirring until the sauce thickens. Add extra water if the sauce is too thick. Garnish with green chillies and serve hot.

Tip: Reduce the chillies quantity, if it is too hot and spicy.
