Chicken tikka

Chicken tikka is boneless pieces of meat marinated in yogurt and spices, and cooked in the clay oven. Grill, regular oven, barbeque also works just fine.  I added a pinch of  tandoori masala for added  taste and flavour.  Serve with salad and bread.

chicken boneless - 1lb

fresh coriander - chopped

Onions - 1

Green chillies- 4 chopped

fresh ginger - finely grated

garlic cloves - 2 finely grated

yogurt - 1/2 cup

lemon juice - 1 tsp

garam masala - 1 tsp


Put the coriander, onions, salt ginger, garlic, chillies, yogurt, and lemon juice in a processor and blend to a smooth paste. place the chicken in a large bowl , add the marinade and mix thoroughly. sprinkle over garam masala, cover with cling wrap and refrigerate overnight.

spread the chicken evenly on a pan and roast in the oven for 10-15 min/ 400 deg F, until the chicken is cooked through. serve hot.
