Kheema - minced meat

Kheema  - minced meat

This is my kids favourite dish, easy for them to chew. If you reduce the spice in the recipe, kids would love it to bits. My sister who is in India, used to cook with less spices and her kids loved it so much.  I tried  it for my kids and  it worked too.  My hub loves it with roti.

Ingredients:
Minced meat  - 1 lb
Onions - 1 medium sized, chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
Red chilli pwd- 1 tsp or less depending on your taste
Salt
Turmeric - half tsp
Daniya/ Coriander pwd - 1 tsp
Garam masala pwd - half tsp
Tomatoes - 2
Mixed vegetables- half cup
oil - 4 tsp
Curry leaves
Green chillies - 2 (optional)

Method:
Take a dish, pour oil and fry onions till golden brown, add ginger garlic paste fry for a min,  add the curry leaves and the green chillies and fry.  Add the spices, salt, chilli pwd, turmeric, daniya, fry for a min.  Now add the minced meat and fry till it changes colour and the water is reduced.  Add the vegetables and cook, add the tomatoes at this point and allow it to cook until soft and the oil starts to appear on top. sprinkle with garam masala pwd before you take it off the stove. Garnish with coriander (optional)
