About me
Welcome to " From my Kitchen..." food blog. The main idea of creating this blog is to share my passion for cooking and to share the rich heritage of recipes passed on by my Mom, Aunts, Sisters, Brother (yes, he is a culinary expert) Friends and some of my own creation.
I am an Early Childhood Educator graduated from Georgebrown college, Toronto. Currently, I am a stay at home mom with two lovely kids. Living in Toronto with my hub, a software professional , who helps me design and maintain the blog site.
As an Early Childhood Educator, I encourage all the parents to inculcate the habit of healthy eating, among children like fresh fruits and vegetables. So, our younger generation will not become the fast food addicts. It is important to teach our children, how to cook healthy and where the ingredients come from either plants, roots, leaves, flowers or animals. So, it will mature into a lifelong interest and they will enjoy the best of health.
My perspective about the food, is to add a variety of foods as possible in the diet. Eat foods in season, fresh produce. Use food, the way nature intended them, unprocessed, free from chemicals. I make sure my family gets all the four food groups mentioned in the Canadian food guide.
I will be posting South Indian, North Indian, International food recipes, with pictures and quick cooking tips. I will also be posting some articles related to cooking and healthy eating. I welcome all your comments/suggestions/ questions/ tips / whatsoever. .. I will take it positively and make appropriate changes and I look forward to hearing from you.
Happy cooking!
